About David Yerks:
 David Yerks is the owner as well as an award winning stylist and makeup artist for David Andrew Salon. A hairdresser since 1971, he has and continues to do continuous education to keep him up to date and well versed in his field. His work has been seen on television, magazines, stage productions and movies. David has also taught for as well as being a Platform Artist for Matrix and Redken from Washington to Hawaii.

- Has taught for leading color companies such as Matrix & Redken, as well as being a Platform Artist from the entire west coast from Maine to Hawaii as well as Utah, Nevada, Idaho & Iowa.
- His advanced cutting & hair color education has been with Clairol Institute of Color In New York City, Paul Mitchell, Sassoon, Matrix, Redken, and several others.
- He is also certified in custom blended mineral makeup as well as Bridal Makeup in Texas.
- Certified as a Level 1 Educator for L'anza Healing HairCare.
Certified in hair extensions with SoCap USA, Balmain and also does eyelash extensions.
- Hairstylist for Steven Spielberg's production of "Joe Vs. the Volcano", starring Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan.
- Hairstylist for the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
David believes in on going education and keeping up with the current trends and encourages the talent in his salon to do the same thing, either by in-salon classes or classes given by renown artists in hairdressing.
During the holiday season, David plays Santa Clause for several children's charities in the community.
